A joint Lenten supper and service will be Wednesday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 11547 Farm-to-Market Road 622 in Schroeder. The Lenten service is sponsored jointly by St. Luke's, St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Ander and Zion Lutheran Church in Arneckeville.
Supper will be available at 6:30 p.m. with the service at 7:30 p.m.
Members of the community are invited to attend the supper and service.
The theme of this year's Lenten service series is "Making Change."
Other Wednesday evening Lenten suppers and services will be March 19 and 26 and April 2 and 9 and Holy Week services on April 17 and April 18.
The offerings received at the joint Lenten services will be designated for Water to Thrive, a faith-based nonprofit headquartered in Austin that is dedicated to spreading awareness of the global water crisis while raising the funds needed to construct water wells for those who desperately need them in rural Africa.
The water wells constructed by Water to Thrive provide a source of clean, safe drinking water that is long-term and sustainable. Learn more at watertothrive.org.
