Thank you to woman who returned gold ring

Editor, the Advocate:

Thank you to Betty Clark, of Port Lavaca.

On Feb. 19, my gold ring fell off my finger while shopping at Walgreens. I retraced my steps but couldn't find it. I described the ring to the polite young lady working the register and gave her my name and number. She assured me if anyone turned one in, she'd let me know.

A sweet, honest person found it - my ring angel, Betty Clark. She called and asked me to describe my ring. I let her know my husband had given me the ring, so it had special meaning to me.

She had found the ring in front of Walgreens and thought it was so pretty. She even wore it to church Sunday. Mrs. Clark had her daughter, Pam, deliver the ring back to me.

Part of me wanted to let her keep it because she is such a sweet lady. But because it was a gift from my husband, there was a lot of feeling tied in with that ring, so I just couldn't.

This good deed will definitely be passed forward, I promise you - my ring angel, Betty Clark.
