Molly Jean Chumchal of Victoria and Kyle Dwayne Hengst of Schulenburg were married at 5 p.m. on March 8, 2014 at Spring Creek Place Event Center in Victoria. Pastor Gary Goodson of Austin officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Peggy Slavin Chumchal of Yoakum. She is the granddaughter of Evelyn Fehner Chumchal and the late Richard Chumchal of Yoakum, and Christine Kolonko Slavin and the late Frank Slavin of Victoria.
The groom is the son of Mark and Antoinette Prosen Hengst of Victoria. He is the grandson of Anton and Martha Griffin Prosen of Victoria and the late Monnie and Virginia Scherer Hengst of Cuero.
Katie Chumchal of Victoria attended as maid of honor. Aftan Puente of Victoria attended as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Chelsea Diebel of Cuero, Ashley Prosen of Victoria and Gretchen Gomez of Boulder, Colorado. Kiley Lawson of Victoria, Taylor Tracy of Milford, Kansas and Madeline Boehm of Buda attended as flower girls.
Stephen Pfeil of Tomball served as best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Diebel of Cuero, Raul Puente of Victoria and Darron Gaus of Victoria. Preston Perez of Cuero, Jackson Tracy of Milford, Kansas and Michael Boehm of Buda served as ring bearers.
Ushers were L.J. Chumchal of Yoakum and Travis Grahmann of Boerne.
A reception was held following the ceremony at Spring Creek Place Event Center. The couple will spend their honeymoon on the Royal Caribbean's Navigator visiting Belize, Honduras and Cozumel. They plan to reside in Schulenburg.
The bride graduated from Yoakum High School in 2007 and is a prospective graduate of the University of Houston-Victoria with a Bachelors in Communication. She will be working with the Garden Company in Schulenburg. Molly has a passion for reading and writing as well as fishing, trying new foods and traveling.
The groom graduated from Memorial High School in 2006 and graduated from Victoria College Police Academy in 2009. He has been employed as a police officer with Schulenburg Police Department since 2010. Kyle enjoys hunting and fishing on his off time.
