A 13-year-old Victoria boy was arrested early Thursday after leading police officers on a short pursuit.
After running a stop sign at the intersection of Azalea and Red River streets, Victoria Police Department officers tried to pull over the car, but the minor fled, said police Lt. Caleb Breshears.
After a 2-mile pursuit, the teen dumped the truck near Lone Tree Road and Ben Wilson Street and took off on foot.
He was later arrested on suspicion of evading arrest with a vehicle and taken to the juvenile detention center, Breshears said.
After he was arrested, it was determined the truck he was driving was stolen.
The facts of that charge will be sent to the district attorney and filed at the juvenile detention court.
