Q:How did winning change your life?

A: It made me feel like I accomplished something really big, and it made me feel better about myself. Going to the capital was amazing; there was just so much to see.

Q:How did winning affect the career you want to pursue? A: It didn't; I still want to become a pediatrician.

Q:What advice would you give to this year's spellers? A: I would say to work hard and keep practicing.

Q:Are you still a good speller? A: Yeah, I still remember a lot of the words I've learned over the years. It has really helped expand my vocabulary.

Q:How far did you advance at the national spelling bee? A: I got to the third round the first time in 2010, and the second time, they had changed it, and a computer test was added to the contest, which is how I got eliminated.
