Same-sex couples can care for children, too

Editor, the Advocate:

I am writing in response to the letter, "Courts don't decide what is right, wrong" in the March 7 Advocate:

God did make a male and female and told them to "be fruitful and multiply." The heterosexuals (sexual desire for those of the opposite gender) have been multiplying for many, many years. As you stated, one purpose of marriage is to procreate children, and having children is good for society. Our society has let the children down.

There are thousands of children on this earth who are homeless without even a pillow for the night. There are thousands of children on this earth who do not have adequate food to eat or any food at all. There are thousands of children on this earth who do not have medical care - including in the state of Texas. And there are thousands of children on this earth who have no one to care.

A member of my family is in a loving, same-gender relationship. The two females have adopted two children. They are taking good care of the results of "be fruitful and multiply."
