114 customers lose power after vehicle crashed into utility pole

More than 100 AEP customers lost power Wednesday afternoon for about an hour after a vehicle struck a utility pole on Business U.S. Highway 59, company spokesman Elgin Janssen said.

Power went out at 3:20 p.m., affecting 114 customers west of the highway toward Inez, Janssen said.

Power was restored to most customers within 20 minutes and was fully restored by 4:20 p.m., he said.
