Receipts: 798

Had 108 cows and 17 bulls. The packer market continues to be strong despite larger runs from dryer parts of the country. Levels are holding at year-long highs.

The calf market was active on all classes especially the lighterweights, which there were a lot of. The heavier bull yearling calves were a little cheaper, but all the other classes were as high or higher than last week.

Packer bulls: Heavyweights, $100-$130; lower grades, $80-$98.

Packer cows: breakers, $65-$85; boning cows, $65-$92; canners and cutters, $82-$115; light and weak, $38-$53.

Palpated dry cows (15 head): $110-$150; pairs: none.

Compared to last week: The market was stronger again this week. Better quality classes of calves and yearlings sold $3 to $6 higher. Demand continues very strong in all areas.

Packer cows and bulls sold fully steady on about 140 head total.

Packer cows: Higher dressing utility and cutter cows, $95-$117; lower dressing utility and cutter cows, $81-$95; lightweight canner cows, $68-$81.

Packer bulls: Heavyweight bulls, $120-$131; utility and cutter bulls, $105-$120; lightweight canner bulls, $91-$105.
