Best Park: Riverside Park

Nature is what continually brings people to Riverside Park, said Victoria Parks and Recreation Director Colby VanGundy.

The park was voted best park in the Crossroads.

"It's just the natural assets," he said. "The river running through it, the people playing disc golf, it's not one area or the other - it's all of it."

With the Texas Zoo, several picnic areas, a stadium, horse arena and kayaking, VanGundy said there is something for everyone - and it's clean.

"Our employees are very proud of this park," he said, "and they work hard to keep it clean."
