Victoria police blotter, Victoria, Lavaca, Wharton indictments

Damaged

VICTORIA - The paint on a Dodge Ram 1500 in a parking lot in the 3700 block of Port Lavaca Drive on April 26. Damage was estimated at $5,000.

VICTORIA - The panel, hood and windows of a 2008 Chevrolet HHR at a parking lot in the 5200 block of North John Stockbauer Drive on Tuesday. Damage was estimated at $2,000.

VICTORIA - The exterior paint of a Ford F-150 in the 1000 block of South DeLeon Street on Wednesday. Damages were estimated at $4,000.

VICTORIA - The backhoe of a John Deer 85d at a construction site in the 300 block of North Cameron Street on Wednesday. Damages were estimated at $1,500.

Indicted

VICTORIA - A Victoria County grand jury returned indictments on the following people April 17:

Ralph Coronado, 32, of Victoria, on a charge of sex offender's duty to register with previous convictions. He is charged with not registering with the Victoria Police Department within seven days of residing or intending to reside in the county Jan. 21.

Linda Lou Snell, 52, of Victoria, on a charge of driving while intoxicated third offense or more Nov. 13.

Bobby Dempsey Lewis, 41, of Bogalusa, La., on a charge of evading arrest or detention with a vehicle Sept. 19.

Melvin Ray Williams, 54, of Victoria, on a charge of evading arrest or detention with a vehicle Aug. 30.

Melissa Ann Garcia, 33, of Victoria, on a charge of theft of property less than $1,500 with two or more previous convictions Aug. 23.

J. David Moreno, 25, of Victoria, on a charge of criminal mischief between $1,500 and $20,000. He is charged with damaging or destroying a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu by cutting a tire and striking the body of the vehicle Dec. 8.

Shaquil Oneal Herndon, 22, of Victoria, on a charge of burglary of a habitation. He is charged with entering a woman's home to steal March 4.

Michelle T. Hernandez, 29, of Victoria, on a charge of theft of property less than $1,500 with two or more previous convictions. She is charged with stealing gas from a gas pump from Stripes, 10408 N.E. Loop 463, on Dec. 23.

Maria Garcia Castellano, 47, of Victoria, on a charge of theft of property less than $1,500 with two or more previous convictions. She is charged with stealing various cuts of meats valued between $50 and $500 from H-E-B Plus!, 6106 N. Navarro St., on Nov. 6.

Roxana Monroe Villareal, 47, of Victoria, on a charge of theft of property less than $1,500 with two or more previous convictions. She is charged with stealing perfumes, clothing and handbags valued at less than $1,500 from Kohl's Department Store, 8905 N. Navarro St., on Nov. 15.

Michael Austin Whitehead, 24, of Victoria, on a charge of assault of a public servant. He is charged with making contact with a Victoria police officer's knee while the officer was trying to detain him March 1.

Brian Eric Cano, 33, of Victoria, on a charge of indecency with a child by sexual contact Jan. 3.

Eugenio Valdez, 61, of Victoria, on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is charged with stabbing a man with a knife, causing serious bodily injury, Jan. 18.

Kenneth Wayne Holub, 43, of Victoria, on a charge of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, cocaine, between 4 and 200 grams Dec. 11.

Jordan Renard Joseph, 22, of Victoria, on a charge of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, cocaine, between 4 and 200 grams March 4.

Pedro Martinez, 33, of Victoria, on a charge of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, cocaine, between 1 and 4 grams Feb. 12.

Mark Anthony Gonzales, 27, of Victoria, on a charge of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, cocaine, between 4 and 200 grams Sept. 17.

Marcus Deon Kimble-Hebert, 28, of Victoria, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, between 1 and 4 grams Dec. 14.

Edward Eugene Mosley, 41, of Victoria, on a charge of tampering or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair. He is charged with altered cocaine during an investigation March 2.

Raul Solis Salazar Jr., 20, of Victoria, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 28 grams in a drug-free zone. He is charged with possessing less than 28 grams of a material, compound, mixture or preparation that contained a quantity of Xanax within 1,000 feet of a park June 20.

Terence Russell Sterling, 29, of Victoria, on a charge of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, cocaine, between 4 and 200 grams Feb. 20.

Michael Angelo Cortez, 19, of Victoria, on a charge of tampering or fabricating physical evidence with the intent to impair. He is charged with destroying marijuana during an investigation or a traffic stop April 5.

Joaquin Justin Espinoza, 24, of Victoria, on a charge of possession of marijuana between 4 ounces and 5 pounds in a drug-free zone May 8.

Wade Henry Dueser, 36, of Yorktown, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, less than 1 gram Aug. 17.

Edilberto Reynaga Jr., 25, of Victoria, on a charge of unlawful possession of marijuana between 4 ounces and 5 pounds Aug. 19.

Noel Rene Martinez, 19, of Victoria, on a charge of assault bodily injury to a family or household member two times within the past 12 months. He is charged with hitting two woman with his hand or fist April 4.

Lavaca County

HALLETTSVILLE - A Lavaca County grand jury returned indictments on the following people April 10:

Tabitha Marie Adian, 27, of Yoakum, on charges of evading arrest or detention with a vehicle and abandoning or endangering a child.

Paula Gail Beckingham, 30, of Floresville, on a charge of forgery possession with intent to utter.

Coy Wayne Condel, 20, of Gonzales, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram.

Raymond Clinton Hammer, 44, of Floresville, on charges of forgery possession with intent to utter and possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram.

Kareem Oljawon Johnson, 30, of Yoakum, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram.

Blinda Sue Meyers, 42, of Teague, on a charge of theft of property between $15,000 and $20,000.

Kenya Faye Smith, 31, of Yoakum, on a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Jaron Marquize Washington, 24, of Yoakum, on a charge of injury to a child with intentional bodily injury.

Sentenced

Wharton County

WHARTON - Melvin Brigham, 57, of El Campo, to 25 years in prison April 25 after he was convicted of failing to register as a sex offender. Brigham had two prior prison convictions, so his range of punishment was 25 to 99 years or life in prison, according to Wharton County District Attorney Ross Kurtz.

WHARTON - Alejandro Saucedo, 41, of Brownsville, to 15 years in prison April 25 after he was convicted of possession of a controlled substance, 1.97 kilograms of cocaine, with intent to deliver.

Victoria County

VICTORIA - Jacquelina Salinas, 32, of Victoria, to five years in prison after her sentence was amended Tuesday in a May 2008 engaging in organized criminal activity case.

VICTORIA - Dalton Rashard Taylor, 27, of Victoria, to three years probation and 80 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty Tuesday to evading arrest or detention with a vehicle.

VICTORIA - Jesse Pena, 22, of Victoria, to 10 years probation and 80 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty Tuesday to burglary of a habitation.

VICTORIA - Xeshan Jerymia Delagarza, 18, of Victoria, to 10 years probation and 120 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty Tuesday to burglary of a habitation.

VICTORIA - Steven Michael Padilla, 28, of Victoria, to 18 months probation and 80 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty of assault causing bodily injury.

VICTORIA - Corles Andre Giles, 26, of Victoria, to 13 months in state jail after he pleaded guilty Tuesday to manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance less than 1 gram.
