St. Paul sophomore state champ in 3,200-M run

WACO - Shiner St. Paul's Natalie Jackson won the TAPPS 2A state championship in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 11:52 Monday at Baylor University in Waco.

Jackson also received silver in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:36.

Jordan Pawelek finished in second place in the high jump with a 5-foot leap.

Elise Patek finished the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 17.32 for a bronze medal.

Ashlyn Patek threw a 32 71/2shot put for third place.

The St. Joseph 4x100 relay team, made up of Emily Pokluda, Morgan Mason, Alexis Cantu and Kymberlie Malatek, finished with a time of 54.43.
