President needs to take responsibility for lies
Editor, the Advocate:
When Richard Nixon was involved in Watergate, all Americans were outraged at his lying to us. Democrats, Republicans, liberals and conservatives wanted him out of office. He was called a crook and several other derogatory names by everyone and rightly so.
But now that the sitting president has been caught in several out-and-out lies, he is defended tooth and nail by everyone in the Democratic Party - both locally and throughout the country. What is worse is the fact that the man does not have the courage to come forward and say, "Yes, I lied, but I thought I was doing the right thing for the poor people; I thought my insurance was better. I was wrong, and I am sorry." No, he just keeps on with his same old ways.
We are lied to about Benghazi, the IRS, "Obamacare," whatever. He just wants us to believe him, even though it is obvious he is lying. It's okay to be a Democrat or liberal, but at least be honest with yourself and admit that the man is not to be trusted. The man must be called on the carpet.
