Strong wind gusts, light rain and some lightning Friday night caused some transformers and utility wires to emit electrical arcs.

But Victoria Fire Department Battalion Chief Clifton Bayer said the incidents were considered minor.

Greg Wilk, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, said the Victoria airport collected 0.38 of an inch of rain Friday night. Gusts as strong as 49 mph were reported about 8:30 p.m. Rainfall reports for other Crossroads counties were not available.

Saturday will be cloudy throughout the day with high temperatures in the 80s, Wilk said. Monday may bring between 1 to 2 inches of rain to the Crossroads.
