Three-vehicle accident sends two to hospital

The driver of the Toyota Camry, Ray Salazar, of Illinois, was transported to the hospital after his vehicle was hit by a white Chevrolet Suburban driven by Sonia Briseno, of Floresville, after Briseno ran a red light traveling south on North Laurent Street.

A three-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon sent two people to the hospital with minor injuries.

Sonia Briseno, of Floresville, was headed south in a white Chevrolet Suburban on North Laurent Street when she ran a red light at the intersection of East Airline Road, said Victoria Police Department officer John "Cody" Maresh. A red Toyota Camry, driven by Ray Salazar, was traveling west on Airline Road when it T-boned the Suburban.

Salazar and Briseno's daughter were transported to the hospital with minor injuries, Maresh said.

A Ford Explorer Sport Trac, driven by Edgar Figueroa, was traveling behind the Camry and was also involved in the collision.
