Cox-Wuest

Lauren Morgan Cox and Scott Marshall Wuest, both of Austin, were united in marriage during a Nuptial Mass on Saturday, February 1st, at St. Mary Cathedral Church in Austin. The Reverend Monsignor Pedro Celestino Say, of Victoria, officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mary S. and Gary F. Cox, M.D., of Victoria. She is the granddaughter of May Forrest Cox and the late Jack E. Cox of Austin, and the late Doris M. and Richard A. Steele of Austin.

The groom is the son of Sandra M. and Michael J. Wuest of Fredericksburg. He is the grandson of the late Annabel B. and Oliver W. Wuest of Fredericksburg, and the late Beulah M. and Floyd L. Marshall of Melvin.

Sara Ellen Gill attended Lauren Morgan as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brittany Bailey, Jacqueline Bowman, Melissa Hajjar, Brandyn Hampton, Chelsie Luhn, and Andrea Minze. Kaymi Wolff, niece of the groom, attended as Junior Bridesmaid. Koen and Karter Wolff, nephews of the groom, served as ring bearers. August Ottmers attended as flower girl. Lectors were Laura Knetig and Erin Ottmers.

Kareem Hajjar served as best man. Groomsmen were Garret Bonn, Graham Carter, Travis Cox, Heath Klein, Paul Rohlfs, Jr., and Christopher Shoessow.

A reception was held following the ceremony at The Driskill Hotel. The couple honeymooned in the Caribbean and will reside in Austin.

Raised in Victoria, the bride received a BA in Religious Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, where she was named a Distinguished Graduate. She is currently practicing as a licensed marriage and family therapy associate at Tejas Family Guidance Center in Austin and is pursuing doctoral studies in depth psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California.

Raised in Fredericksburg, the groom received a BS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. He is the owner of Wuest Group, a civil engineering firm, in Austin."
