Call center receives accreditation

The Golden Crescent 2-1-1 information and referral service recently earned national accreditation from the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems. Accreditation is the highest recognition of excellence in service delivery. 2-1-1 is a free information and referral number to dial when you don't know who to call for health and community services, both locally and across the state. The calls are answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week by trained specialists.  The call centers are located in Texas and are most often found at local United Ways or councils of governments, like the Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission.
