A man driving a white Ford F-150 extended cab is being sought by the Victoria Police Department for damaging several ATMs in Victoria.

Victoria police are looking for a man who caused thousands of dollars in damage to several ATM keypads in Victoria.

There's been no reports of fraud or theft in connection to the damages, said Detective Tanya Brown, a police department spokeswoman. In similar crimes, damages of this sort resulted in criminals gaining access to bank account information.

"Once the customer notices that the buttons on the keypad are damaged, they often leave the ATM and enter the bank's lobby to resolve the issue," Brown said in an email. "In the meantime, the criminal finishes the victim's bank transaction."

At least four banks were targeted between Friday and Sunday, including TrustTexas Bank, 2701 Sam Houston Drive; American Bank, 4304 N. Navarro St.; and Prosperity Bank, 10410 Northeast Zac Lentz Parkway. Damage was estimated at $7,200.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Victoria Police Department at 361-485-3730 or Crime Stoppers at 361-572-4200.
