THUMBS-UP

Thumbs-up to the design engineer who had the forethought to plan the right-turn lane at 1200 N. Navarro St. and 500 E. Rio Grande St. The construction crew did excellent workmanship. The traffic flow is greatly improved. A remarkable plan.

Marle, Victoria

Thumbs-up to the Cuero people who remain at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church 8 a.m. Mass until the end of the last hymn sung.

Esther, Cuero

THUMBS-DOWN

Thumbs-down in reference to the May 15 letter to the editor concerning the Post Office food drive. I also placed a large bag of food beside the mailboxes and noticed that it had disappeared before the mail had been delivered. Are some people so desperate they steal from those who could have appreciated the food? This is not a good view for Victoria.

Joan, Victoria

Thumbs-down to the Cuero people who leave 8 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church while the choir is singing the last hymn. Mass is not over until the last hymn is sung. What is the hurry?

Esther, Cuero
