Receipts: 807

Had 129 cows and 10 bulls. The packer market was a little lower than last week. Packers are behind on processing, so the market reflected that, if for no other reason. Market is still strong.

The calf market was somewhat mixed. Plainer-type cattle were a couple of dollars cheaper, but better-quality calves on top side were in spots $1-$2 higher.

Packer bulls: Heavyweights, $100-$126; lower grades, $80-$100.

Packer cows: breakers, $68-$80; boning cows, $67-$87; canners and cutters, $82-$108; light and weak, $38-$45.

Palpated dry cows (10 head bred): $94-$131; pairs (3): $1,130; $1,550 and $1,950.

Compared to last week: The market this week continued its strong momentum. Better quality classes of calves and yearlings sold steady to $3 higher in all weight classes. Demand continues very strong in all areas.

Packer cows and bulls sold $1 to $2 lower on about 210 head total.

Packer cows: Higher dressing utility and cutter cows, $90-$110; lower dressing utility and cutter cows, $73-$90; lightweight canner cows, $60-$73.

Packer bulls: Heavyweight bulls, $120-$125; utility and cutter bulls, $110-$120; lightweight canner bulls, $98-$110.
