Victoria police officers will make a big splash Saturday, and it's all in the name of charity.
To raise money for the Children's Miracle Network and Santa Rosa Children's Hospital in San Antonio, several officers are taking a seat on the dunk tank at the Dunk-a-Cop event at Wal-Mart, 4001 Houston Highway. The officers will wear a full uniform complete with a duty belt and a hat.
Each throw costs $1, and all proceeds will be donated, store manager Michael Hohertz said. The event is part of a fundraiser celebrated at all Wal-Mart locations.
