High schooler receives eight-year piano trophy
The Victoria Music Teachers Association recently awarded the eight-year Baroque Sonatina trophy to St. Joseph High School junior Chloe Velasco. Her piano teacher, Ann Johannsen, recognized her for this accomplishment at the 33rd Honors Recital held at the Johnson Symposium Center on the Victoria College campus. To earn this award, a pianist must be evaluated by a respective judge for eight years and earn a 1+ rating on each performance. Chloe is a 2013 TAPPS 4A Golf State Champion.
