advertising

The Decora Study Club began its new year on Sept. 23 with a luncheon at the Victoria Women's Clubhouse.

Jo Cornstubble, president, welcomed the members and recognized all the past presidents of the club, who served as hostesses.

Margaret Vaughn provided the federation report and a brief history of women's clubs in America.

Beth Person will present the yearbooks at the next meeting. The books were not ready because Hurricane Ike delayed printing.

Dee Skeete, program chairman, introduced the members of the program committee who presented a preview of the programs for the coming year, incorporating the purse and car into a quote for each program.

Francisca Watts, Ann Heinrich and members of the social committee coordinated the luncheon. Mary Lou Black won the door prize of a flower arrangement.
