Laureate Alpha Omicron learns about gadgets

Laureate Alpha Omicron met in the home of Virginia Sullivan on Sept 16. Co-hostesses were Mary Helen Goldsmith and Loretta Johnson.Sullivan gave the program on gadgets. She showed how to use a chopper and dicer to make a relish dish. Each member was asked to bring there favorite gadget to show. Items of interest were: a box of matches, shrimp de-veiner, wine bottle opener, battery operated can opener and curling iron.
Treasurer Gene Evans reported that dues are to be paid by the end of September or members will have to pay extra.
The city-wide social will be in October, the time will be announced at the next meeting. The November social will be in the home of Dorothy Koenig with a full meal and costume party.
Maraget Williams will check into the club receiving its five star rating from International Beta sigma Phi.
