Elva Ella Boldt Denker, 92, went to her Lord and Savior on Sunday Nov. 9, 2008. She was born Sept. 20, 1916, in DeWitt County, to Emil John and Martha Schley Boldt. She married Wilbert Henry "Butch" Denker on Feb. 3, 1940 in Yorktown. She had worked in food service for the Gonzales Independent School District and worked several years for Boysen's Food Market before retiring. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Hermann Sons Lodge, and had been a member of the B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge.
nbsp;nbsp;She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley Miller Carleton and husband Dale of Gonzales, Patty Kurtz and husband Donnie of Victoria; son and daughter-in-law, Ron Denker and wife Linda of Victoria; grandchildren, Kevin and Theresa Miller of Las Vegas, N.M., Kari and Mark Schroller of Victoria, Tara Carleton, Yvette and Alan Shaw of Minden, La., Amy and Russel Hempel of Victoria, Christopher and Laurie Kurtz of Victoria, Denise and Mark Greer of Victoria, D'Anna and Donnie Long of Edna and Dian Denker of Victoria; great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Taylor, Clayton, and Lexi Schroller, all of Victoria, Ashley and Brittany Hempel of Victoria, Mac Henry, Bethany and Logan Long of Edna, and Austin Greer of Victoria.
nbsp;nbsp;She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters, and one son-in-law, Bobby H. Miller.
nbsp;nbsp;Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 11, 2008 in the First Lutheran Church with Pastor Ildiko Rigney officiating. Interment will follow in Hermann Sons Cemetery. The family received friends at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday.
