George Michael Hessong

EDNA - George Michael Hessong, 58, of Edna, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010. He was born May 31, 1951, in Ganado, to Robert Graham "Bob" Hessong of Edna and the late Virginia Loyce Kline Hessong. He was owner-operator of Edna Auto Supply.
He is survived by his father; wife, Cynthia Ann Wilkerson Hessong of Edna; sons, William Travis "Bill" Hessong, John Graham "John" Hessong of Edna, and George Wilkerson "G.W." Hessong, all of Edna; brother, Robert LaRue Hessong of Broadus, Mont.; sister, Kathy Hessong of Edna; grandchildren, Loyce Ann Hessong, Ryan Wells Hessong, Virginia Marie Hessong, Jason Lee Hessong, and Rebecca Jane Hessong.
Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Slavik Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Edna, the Rev. Danny Reeves officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Edna.
Pallbearers will be Harley Brod, Roger Gearhart, Karen Gregory, Melvin Laughter, David McCurdy, and Dean Lowery.
Memorials contributions may be made to Hospice of South Texas or American Cancer Society.
