MARY T WHITE HEFFRON
BATON ROUGE -Mary T White Heffron died on Sunday, December 02, 2012 at the age of 83 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was born in Victoria, Texas on June 5, 1929 and was predeceased by her husband, Norman Clifton Heffron (1985); their second son, Kevin Martin Heffron (1991); two grandchildren, Clementine H. Moran (1991) and James Clifton deBrueys (2010); her parents, Herman Sutherland White and Clementine LeSage White of Victoria, Texas; and a special maternal aunt and uncle, Margaret and Mark Leveridge, also of Victoria, Texas.
Mrs. Heffron is survived by a sister, Clementine Bertha White of Gainesville, Florida. Her surviving children are John S. Heffron and his wife, Susan (Adelaide, South Australia); Mary T deBrueys and her husband, Jim (Baton Rouge); Margaret A. Heffron (Baton Rouge); and Paula H. Moran and her husband, Danny (Baton Rouge). Surviving grandchildren and their families are: Sarah Heffron Nichomoff, her husband, Justin, their children, Rebecca M. and David J. Nichomoff (New York City); Victoria E. Heffron (New Orleans); Mary T Michelle deBrueys McCrary, her husband, Patrick, and their children, Mary T Madison McCrary, Blake P. McCrary and Samantha James McCrary ; Andre' deBrueys Cardinale and her husband, John (Baton Rouge); Steven G. deBrueys and Simone C. deBrueys (Baton Rouge); Madeline M. Domma, Kati M. Domma, Alycia L. Domma, and Anthony J. Domma (Baton Rouge); and D. Sheridan Moran, F. Rhodes Moran, Kevin A. Moran, Mary Reagan Moran, and M. Daniel Moran, III (Baton Rouge).
Mary T attended Nazareth Academy through her high school years in Victoria, Texas, followed by Incarnate Word in San Antonio and University of Texas in Austin. She graduated from UT with a degree in Home Economics.
Mary T married Norman C. Heffron, a Texas Aggie, in Victoria in 1951. She was a wife and homemaker, and mother who lived in Victoria, in Charleston, West Virginia, and in Baton Rouge. Mary T was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church almost from the inception of the parish.
Family and friends are invited to a Rosary at 7pm with visitation from 6pm until 8pm on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Avenue. Interment will follow at Green Oaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Boulevard. The Reverend Than Vu will officiate.
Pallbearers are: Jim deBrueys, Danny Moran, Steven deBrueys, Anthony Domma, Sheridan Moran, Rhodes Moran, Kevin Moran, and Daniel Moran.
Treasured friends include: Florine (deceased) & Simon Cornelius of Victoria, Texas; Betty Claire & Mel Rabalais of Baton Rouge; Barbara and Maurice O'Rourk of Baton Rouge; and the dear Sisters from St. Aloysius, the Daughters of Jesus.
Mrs. Heffron's family is appreciative and grateful for the loving care provided by her dedicated caregivers - Lisa Morris, Catherine Matthews, Cindy Scott, Shameka Batiste, Jennifer Pearson, and Betty Brown and by St. Joseph Hospice, especially Penny Perkins.
