LIBBIE MICHNA HOFFMANN
VICTORIA - Libbie Michna "Gammie" Hoffmann was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the age of 96. Libbie was born August 24, 1916 in Placedo, Tx, daughter of Pete and Mary Macha Michna.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl A Hoffmann (Nov. 27, 1992), sister Lillian Winborn, and brothers Oscar, Willis, and Wilber Michna, daughter-in-laws Ellen Hoffmann and Mary Hoffmann, son-in-law Claud Perrin, and great granddaughter Haley Hoffmann.
Libbie and Earl were married in Woodsboro in 1932 and moved to Victoria in 1954. Libbie worked for Hollis Newton Gravel Company and later for Bill Smith Realty as a secretary. She will be missed by all her family and friends, but they will always remember her contagious smile, her love of God and family, and her special Christmas cookies known as Gammie's Cookies.
Libbie is survived by her daughter Earline Perrin of Rosenberg, sons Keith (Patti) Hoffmann of Staples, Edgar of Mission Valley, and Wesley (Annette) of Victoria, 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren, and nephew Ed (Pam) Michna of Houston.
The family will like to give special thanks for the care given by Accolade Hospice in Victoria and AMed Hospice and Cambridge Rehab and Nursing in Richmond, Victoria Nursing and Rehab, and to Carrie, of VN&R for the special care and love she gave her.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11:00 am at Heritage Funeral Home of Memory Gardens with her granddaughter Rev. Vicki Knesek officiating.
