MILDRED J.J. SCHMIDT
EL CAMPO - Mildred Josephine Jurena Schmidt passed away December 6, 2012 at the age of 87. She was born July 12, 1925 in Moravia, Texas, to Albert and Lillie Konvicka Jurena. She married Edwin Louis "Schmidty" Schmidt August 25, 1965 at St. Andrew's Church in Hillje, Texas. Mildred was a retired nurses aid for Garden Villa Nursing Home.
Mildred is survived by her sister Martha Booth, niece and caregiver Janet Holub and other numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Julius and Al Jurena and honorary son Dwight Holub.
Visitation will be 2 pm to 4 pm Sunday at Triska Funeral Home. A parish Rosary will be be offered 9:30 am Monday, December 10, 2012, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church with a funeral Mass following at 10 am with Rev. Albert Yankey officiating. Interment will follow at St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery in Hillje.
Memorial donations in memory of Mildred Schmidt may be made to St. Philip Church Building Fund or St. Philip Catholic School.
