WILLIAM TOM "BILL" JAAP
GANADO - William Tom "Bill" Jaap, 85, passed away on Friday Dec. 7, 2012. Born Jan. 9, 1927 in Ganado, to the late Frank and Alvina Skrla Jaap.
Bill served our country in both WWII and Korean Wars in the U.S. Navy Air Corp. He was a retired farmer and ironworker. He is survived by his wife, Velma Spillars Jaap, Three sons; Terry Jaap, Danny (wife Cathy) and Paul (wife Becky) Jaap. One sister, Marian Chappell and Six Grandchildren and Six Great-Grandchildren.
Preceded in death are his parents, brothers; Frank, Fred, and John Jaap.
Funeral services will be Tuesday Dec. 11, 2012, at 2:00 pm at the Ganado Funeral Home Chapel, 800 So. Third St. with Rev. Buck Ritchea officiating. Visitation will start at 12 noon.
Pallbearers will be Danny Kubecka, Joey Bures, Bill Bures, Kelly Janica, Travis Janica and Phillip Green.
Honorary pallbearer: David Bram.
Interment will be in the Ganado Cemetery, with Ganado American Legion Post #346 holding military honors.
Donations may be made to the Jackson County Home Health Services or Jackson County EMS.
