Alfred J Brysch

Born on Aug. 16, 1931

YORKTOWN - Alfred James Brysch was born in George West, Texas, on August 16, 1931, to Esidor and Cecelia Richter Brysch, and passed away on the morning of April 25, 2013, at the age of 81 years.
A lifelong Catholic, Alfred married Dorothy Mae Haag on July 3, 1954, at St. Mary's Cathedral in Austin. Their union was blessed with four children, who were all present to pray with Alfred as he entered the gates of Heaven. His wife of 58 years was also by his side holding his hand as she had done in years past seeing him through cancer, heart attacks, diabetes, and stroke.
Alfred is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his children, Ronnie & LaRae Brysch of Luling, Patty Croft of Lakeway, Bob Croft of Victoria, Darrell & Lana Brysch of Yorktown and Sherry & Randy Faulk of Victoria; and his grandchildren, Chad & Alyssa Brysch of New Braunfels; Dustin Croft of Kirvin, Katie & Flip Croft Caderao of Dallas, and Kayla Croft of Los Angeles, California; Corey & Brittany Brysch of Weatherford, Carey & Ted Dugie of Corpus Christi, Casey Brysch of San Marcos, and Caley Brysch of Yorktown; Cullen Faulk and Kelsey Faulk, both of Austin. Alfred was blessed to become a great grandpa to three precious little men ~ Luke Wade Croft of Kirvin, Logan Jameson Brysch of New Braunfels and Carter James Brysch of Weatherford.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of DeTar Hospital and Hospice of South Texas, especially Dr. Harish Chandna and Dr. Tyson Meyer. A special thank you is extended to Mrs. JoAnn Jaeger as well, for faithfully sharing the Eucharist with Alfred on Sundays.
Visitation will be 1 - 8 pm, Sunday, April 28, 2013, with family receiving friends 5 - 8 pm and a Rosary being said at 7 pm, at Finch Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 3 pm, Monday, April 29, 2013, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
Pall Bearers are Alfred's grandsons, Chad Brysch, Dustin Croft, Corey Brysch and Cullen Faulk, and grandsons-in-law, Ted Dugie and Flip Croft Caderao. Honorary pallbearers include Alfred's granddaughters, his great grandsons, and close friends Raymond Gilley, Bill Cope, Joe Sorrells and Tony Corpus.
Donations may be made in Alfred's honor to the Yorktown EMS or Holy Cross Catholic Church.
