MARBLE FALLS - Doyle Lee Cook of Marble Falls, TX died Friday, November 23, 2013 in Lakeway, TX. He was born in Jenks, Oklahoma July 2, 1926. Doyle is survived by his children, Gary Cook (wife, Lynn) of Lakeway, TX and Melinda Madurai (husband, Elvis) of Highland Village, TX and by his wife of 13 ½ years, DeeDee Oldaker Cook. He is also survived by sisters, Nahoma Pursley of DeLand, Florida and Sammy Wisinger of Atlanta, Georgia; and grandchildren, Evan Cook of San Marcus, TX; Travis Cook of San Diego, CA, and Ethan Madurai of Highland Village, TX.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Betty Johnson Cook, and parents Samuel and Veda Cook of Grand Prairie, TX; and 2 brothers Orvel Cook of DeLand, Florida and Leon Cook, of Odessa, TX.
Doyle was a true patriot and believed in service to his country and to others. He served in the U.S. Navy on a tanker in WWII and again on the USS Manchester in Korea. He retired after 35 years of loyal service from I. E. DuPont De Nemours Company in Victoria, TX in 1985. After retirement he moved to Marionville, MO where he lived until shortly after his wife Betty's death in 1997. In 1999, he fell in love once more and married Dee Dee, a very special lady with whom he shared the remainder of his life.
He was an avid fisherman and loved being outdoors. He never let anything get the better of him, found a 'fix' to anything that was broken and wasn't afraid to live life on his terms. He was well loved by all who knew him.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville, Texas.
