EVA S. PAZ
VICTORIA - Eva S. Paz, 81, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. She was born in Berclair to the late Pablo and Elvira Saldana. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Yolanda Paz of Clear Lake and Patricia "Pat" (Andy) Amaro of Victoria; sons, Oscar R. Paz of Sinton, Lionel "Larry" (Pam) Paz of Pflugerville, Richard (Karen) Paz of Madisonville; sisters, Anita Villarreal and Noelia Pardo both of Victoria; grandchildren, Melissa Hinojosa, Roy E. Paz, Jr., Audrey Pittman, Geoffrey Gonzales, Monica Paz, Matthew Paz, Antonio Paz, and Angelina Paz; seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents, Eva is preceded in death by her husband, Lionel R. Paz; son, Roy E. Paz, sisters, Maria Valle and Sarah Barrientes and brother, Raul Saldana.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Grace Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with Father Stan De Boe officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Lionel "Larry" Paz, Adrian Valle, Matt Barrientes, Henry Villarreal, Antonio Paz, Roy Paz, Jr., and John Villarreal. Honorary pallbearers are Oscar Paz, Eloy Rodriguez, and Johnny Valle.
A special thanks to all the nursing home staff members that have taken care of Eva over the years and a very special thanks to Renae Stevens and Miranda Priour and the staff of Accolade Hospice for all the attention and loving care for our mother, it is so greatly appreciated.
