ROY H. HITZFELD JR.
BAY CITY - Roy H. (Bubba) Hitzfeld, Jr., 57, of Bay City, formerly of Victoria, passed away Jan. 27, 2013 after a long battle with kidney disease. Bubba was born on October 31, 1955 in Corpus Christi to Roy and Louis Ivey Hitzfeld. Sr.
Bubba attended Victoria High School and was a member of the Stingaree Basketball Team coached by Mike Smith. He attended Corpus Christi State University and received his MBA. He was the Human Resources Director for the city of Bay City for seventeen years. He married Karen Noble March 6, 1982 and they shared 30 wonderful years.
He is also survived by sisters Debbey Hartman of Victoria, Sheri (Mike) Schmidt of Placedo, and Betsy (Mike) Crane of El Toro. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews.
Bubba was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Travis Crane.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the home of Mike and Betsy Crane.
