ELVIRA CARMONA
VICTORIA - Elvira Carmona, 104, of Victoria, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013. She was born January 20, 1909 in Victoria to the late Jose and Marcelina Mata Guillen. She was a Catholic and a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters, Emilia Carmona Montes (Esteban) of Victoria, Frances Carmona Valenzuela (Willie Sr.) of Victoria, and Mary Carmona (J. Garcia) of Houston; sons, Antonio Carmona (Andrea) of Victoria, Eliseo Carmona of Victoria, Joe Carmona (Lupe) of Houston, and Narcisco Carmona (Hilda) of Houston; sister, Irene Medina of Houston; brother, David Guillen of California; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emilio Carmona; daughter, Estella Castillo; son, Roger Carmona; and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Artero Memorial Chapels. Visitation will resume from 9 - 10 a.m. with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on Monday, February 11, 2013. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Ernest Carmona, Roger Carmona, Roger Montes, Will Valenzuela Jr., Ralph Carmona, and Paul Carmona.
