GEORGE A. DAY
YORKTOWN - George A. Day, 73 years passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013. He was born November 10, 1939 to the late Druce Day and Rosa Lee (Weber) Day.
George retired from V. Cowser Road Crossing Construction Company after 40 years. He moved to Yorktown in 2002 from Corpus Christi. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Annie Garner Day; brothers, Michael and Fred Day; grandson, Justin Herwig. George is survived by his daughters, Suzanne (Leslie Wayne) Coffman of Mathis, TX, Vicky (Roger) Herwig of Yorktown, TX; son, Russell (Dina) Day of Houston,TX; brothers, Donald Day of San Antonio,TX, Kenneth Day of Banquette,TX, Calvin Day of Austin, TX, Walter Day of Corpus Christi, TX; sister, Winnie Janek of Corpus Christi,TX; grandchildren, Brian (Shiney) Valenta, Brandi Alexander, Desirae Day, Morgan Herwig, George Taylor Day, Ryan Day; four, great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 12, 2013 one hour before service time.
Service - 10:00AM Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Finch Funeral Chapel - Yorktown
Interment will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial maybe made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or donor choice. The pallbearers that will be serving are Brian Valenta, George Taylor Day, Roger Herwig, Wayne Coffman, Ronnie Saunders, Larry Herwig.
