MAYCIEL ETHEREDGE
VICTORIA - Mayciel Etheredge, age 95 of Victoria, formerly of Luling, Texas passed away on February 8, 2013.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at O'Bannon Funeral Home in Luling, Texas at 11:00 a.m.
Graveside burial at the Luling City Cemetery will follow immediately after the Memorial Services. Pastor Mickey Ewing of Northside Baptist Church of Victoria, Texas will officiate the services.
Mayciel was born on November 17, 1917 near the community of Joliet, Texas to William F. and Flora Cordelia Rodenbeg. Mayciel was a member of the First Baptist Church of Luling. Mayciel will be remembered as a lifelong companion and business partner to her first husband of 56 years, Morris O'Dell Etheredge. Mayciel and Morris jointly owned and operated small businesses in the Luling area including several Texaco Service Stations and the Luling Monument Works. She will also be remembered as the Mother to her five children, Nelda Chambers of Victoria, Texas, Bobby Etheredge (deceased), Janie Belt and husband Butch of New Diana, Texas, Carlton Etheredge and wife Susan of Luling, Texas and Carroll Etheredge and wife Robin of Victoria; and Mama to her 10 grandchildren, Donna Cole (Jim), Sheila Gilmore (Greg), Shelley Watson (Newt), Tony Belt (Sally), Eddie Belt (Angela), Kendall Belt, Chris Etheredge (Beth), Caitlin Etheredge, Caleb Etheredge (Mendi) and Caleigh Etheredge, 18 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Mayciel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Morris Etheredge, son Bobby Etheredge and all six of her siblings, brothers Reese and Weldon Rodenberg, and sisters Blanche Lockwood, Doris Probst, Josephine Neuse and Jewel Churchwell. Also preceding Mayciel in death was her second husband Harlan Etheredge.
Pall bearers will be Mayciel's five grandsons, Tony Belt, Eddie Belt, Kendall Belt, Chris Etheredge, Caleb Etheredge, and great grandson Jake Cole.
