ADA DEE WALKER
VICTORIA - Ada Dee Walker went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 4, 2013 in Victoria, Texas at the age of 47. She was surrounded by her family and fiancee Gary Gladden. Ada was born on June 9, 1965 in Pasadena, Texas, she is the oldest daughter of Linda Walker Belisario.
She was raised in Lufkin and Tyler,Texas until she was a senior in High school when the family moved to San Antonio, Texas and she graduated from Mac Arthur High School in 1983.
Ada was preceded in death by grandparents Elmo and Ada Walker and Vernon and Mary Waddell.
Ada is survived by fiancee Gary Gladden daughters: Amy Huizar, Haley Huizar Lopez and husband Gilbert, Kayce Huizar, and Jason and Matthew Gladden, Mother Linda Walker Belisario and husband Jim, Sister Brandi Mayo and husband Neel, Aunt's Vicky Weaver, Dorthy Hanovice and husband Charles. Also her Grandchildren Jackson, Payton, Juston and Gilbert. Niece Piper and nephew Will. She is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
Ada was a house wife as well as a talented seamstress and specialized in heirloom clothing and quilts. Some of her most cherished moments were spending time working with her horses and working on her fiancee's ranch in Victoria, Texas. Another personal hobby of hers was traveling with family while planning historical visits to sites to better understand different family values and cultures.
Ada enjoyed her family time as well as watching her grandchildren play and grow. Because Ada so loved and cherished her family and friends her fight with Ovarian Cancer was strong until her death.
The family would like to thank each and everyone from Hospice of South Texas, doctors, nurses, and DeTar hospital for their splendid care.
Memorial services will be held on Friday February 15, 2013 at Concordia Lutheran Church at 1:30pm. If you have anything teal to wear do. It is to honor her and other women who battle Ovarian Cancer.
