ROBERT RIEMENSCHNEIDER
YOAKUM - Robert Reese Riemenschneider, age 78, of Windcrest and formerly of Yoakum, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013.
He was born on August 12, 1934 in Yoakum to Henry and Florence Riemenschneider.
His parents owned Riemenschneider Red & White Grocery Store in Yoakum.
He was a retired Police Sergeant from the City of Houston. He was a Police Chief in Pearland, Marlin, Donna and Kirby and was a member of the Kirby Baptist Church.
Survivors: wife, Barbara Gee Riemenschneider of Windcrest; sons, Kyle Riemenschneider of Windcrest and Robert Reese Riemenschneider, Jr. of Cibolo; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Henry Riemenschneider, Jr. of Seguin and formerly of Yoakum.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Funeral service on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home with Rev. Clark Fooshee officiating. Burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Houston Police Officer's Union or Kirby Baptist Church.
