ELLA SIMPER
SHINER- Ella Simper, 91, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013.
She was born March 19, 1921 in Gonzales County to Joseph and Mary Volf Petras.
Ella was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed card playing and bowling, but most of all, preparing pastries and meals for her family and friends.
She was a member of St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and the Shiner Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors: daughter, JoAnn Simper Seifert of Victoria; son, Bernie J. Simper of Victoria; grandchildren, Ivy Seifert Whitener and husband Scott of Fredericksburg and SuEllen Seifert Perez and husband Aicel of New Braunfels; sister, Millie Migl and husband Frank of Shiner.
Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Bennie A. Simper; son-in-law, Harvey Seifert; brothers, Adolph Petras and Frank Petras and a sister, Mary Kridler.
Visitation 5:30 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday with rosary at 7 p.m. at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home
Funeral mass at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner with Rev. Kirby Hlavaty officiating. Burial at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Shiner Volunteer Fire Department, Shiner E.M.S., or donor's choice.
