ADOLPH M. GARCIA
VICTORIA - Adolph M. Garcia, 84, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013. He was born August 3, 1928 in Clairville, TX to the late Alejandro and Lydia Martinez Garcia.
He retired from Texas Concrete after 25 years where he was a truck driver and foreman.
Adolph is survived by his wife of 47 years, Guadalupe F. Garcia of Victoria; daughters, Andrea (Dave) Clemons and Adelaida (Leroy) Deleon both of Corpus Christi, Rachel (Jimmy, Jr.) Zamora and Flora Martinez both of Victoria; sons, Arnulfo (Lolie) Garcia of Kileen, Alferdo (Alena) Garcia of Crawley, LA, Guadalupe (Grace) Martinez of Austin, Arthur Garcia of Victoria and Valdemar Garcia of Grand Prairie; sisters, Gloria Constable of San Pedro, CA, Lenora Perez of San Antonio, Lupe Martinez of Laredo, Elia Chavez of Laredo, and Janie Ayala of Victoria; 21 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Adolph was preceded in death by his sisters, Elia Aguilar and Tina Montemayor.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Grace Funeral Home. A rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be recited at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Guadalupe Martinez, Arthur Garcia, Jimmy Zamora, Jr. Adrian Zamora, Matthew Martinez, and Sam Nieto, Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Martinez, Eric Martinez and Alex Aguilar.
Memorial donations can be made in Adolph's name to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Building Fund or to Hospice of South Texas.
