YORKTOWN - Pedro R. "Pete" Gonzales Jr, 61, of Yorktown, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 in Victoria. He was born February 3, 1951 in Kenedy to Pedro Sr and Eva Alaniz Gonzales.
Pete is survived by his wife, Diana Gonzales of Yorktown; mother, Eva Gonzales of Kenedy; children, Larry (Kelly) Gonzales of Yorktown, Amanda Gonzales of Austin, Eric (Amanda) Gonzales of Yorktown; grandchildren, Shane Sellers-Gonzales, Stefanie & Makayla Denning, Dylan & Waylon Gonzales, Darrin & Karissa Gonzales, and Vaughn, Pharon, and Kennedey Saunders; brothers, Tommy Gonzales of Kenedy, Alcario Gonzales of South Carolina, Elias Rosales Jr of Austin, Merced Rosales of Runge, Rene Rosales of Kenedy, and Richard Rosales of Karnes City; sisters, Eva Hinojosa of Kenedy, Dorothy Cuellar of San Antonio, Mary Ann Sanchez of Kenedy, and Jean Alaniz of San Antonio; and mother-in-law, Francis Alvarez of Yorktown.
He was preceded in death by his father; maternal and paternal grandparents; and father-in-law, Toribio Alvarez.
Visitation will be 2-9 pm with a rosary at 7 pm, Thursday, Jan 17, 2013 at Finch Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, Jan 18, 2013 at Finch Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at San Luis Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ramon Alvarez, Israel Alvarez, Ascension "Chon" Alvarez, Richard Rosales, Merced Rosales and Alcario Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
