JEWEL DEAN BERRY
REFUGIO - Jewel Dean Berry , 83, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013. She was born July 23, 1929 in Laward, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband Boyd "Tiny" Berry, son Michael Wayne Berry.
She was in the Drum and Bugle core in High School. Saluatorian of her High Scool Class, worked in the Refugio County Clerks Office and was a church worker for many years. She also was in the womens auxillary VFW, American Cancer Society and American Diabetics Assn . and part of the Prayer Ministry at First Baptist Church Refugio.
She is survived by her two sons Ray Berry of Round Rock and Gary Berry of Austin,Texas; A daughter Angie (Robert) Berry Leachman of Tomball,Tx. Grandchildren Alexis Leachman Dakota Leachman , Michael Tompkins Berry and Eric Tompkins Berry.
Services will be held at First Baptist Church Refugio Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 2:00pm; Visitation will be Saturday, January 19, 2013 Moore Funeral Home Chapel from 6pm- 8pm. Burial to Follow at Oakwood Cemetery , Refugio Tx.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society, American Diabetic Assn. and Texas Children Home
Pallbearers will be as follows Robert Leachman, Michael Tompkins Berry,Jeff Sterle,Eric Tompkins Berry, Bob Hinesley and Glen Smith. Honoarary pallbearers are John Nightingale and Dakota Leachman.
