MARGARET GARCIA
VICTORIA - Margaret Garcia, 93, of Victoria, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013. She was born November 3, 1919 in Victoria to the late Encarnacion and Hilaria Garcia Garza. She was a home-maker and a Catholic.
She is survived by her daughters, Dionisia Martinez (Trinidad), Dorothy Riojas, and Sophie Garcia (Vicente), all of Victoria; son, Manuel Garcia (Marilyn) of Minnesota; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe B. Garcia; sisters, Nicolasa Calderon and Maria Garcia; and brother, Manuel Garza.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Artero Memorial Chapels. Visitation will resume from 9 a.m. until funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on Monday, January 21, 2013. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Manuel Garcia, Roger Martinez, Juan Guevara, Andrew Reyna, Jacob Reyna, and Eddie O'Riley. Honorary pallbearers: Paul O'Riley, Frank Cavazos, Sammy Garcia, and Ruben Gutierrez.
