ROSA ESCOBAR
VICTORIA - Rosa Escobar, 60, of Victoria, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013. She was born April 18, 1952 in Victoria to Juanita Solis Escobar and the late Anastacio Escobar. She was a Catholic and a nurse.
She is survived by her mother; son, Manuel "Chapo" Gonzales Jr. (Mary) of Victoria; sisters, Monica Garcia, Angelita Cano, Mary Michael Gallegos, Sylvia Cantu, Vangie Aguayo, Dora Ziesmer, Rita Escobar, and Melissa Escobar; brothers, Anastacio Jr., Antonio Jr., Rene, and Ernest Escobar; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father; daughter, Belinda Ann Gonzales; and sister, Racheal Escobar.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Artero Memorial Chapels. Visitation will resume from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Artero Memorial Chapels as well as from 1 - 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church before a funeral Mass at 2 p.m. on Monday, Janary 21, 2013.
Pallbearers: Manuel "Chapo" Gonzales Jr., Jake Denton, Rene Escobar, Ernest Escobar, Antonio Escobar, and Anastacio Escobar Jr. Honorary pallbearers: Jake Denton Jr., Lucas Denton, Memorie Denton, Joe Estrada Jr., and Thomas Cano Jr.
