ARTHUR FRANK SCHRAMM
DEEP PARK - Arthur Frank Schramm passed away suddenly on January 22, 2013. Born in Victoria Texas on October 25, 1923, the son of Edwin W. and Ida Pauline Schramm.
Arthur graduated as the Salutatorian from Patti Welder High School in 1942 and joined the Army Air Corps 1943. He remained on active duty during WWII until 1947 and served in active reserves until his retirement as a Lieutenant Colonel. On July 4, 1944, he met Winifred "Wendy" Cochrane in Italy. They married on December 19, 1945 and settled in Victoria, Texas where he represented Prudential Insurance.
After retirement, he and Wendy spent eight years traveling around the globe, and focusing on family and friends and playing tennis and golf. In 1992, they moved to Pasadena, Texas to become joint owners of Kwik Kopy Printing with their daughter, Marilyn Wilkins.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Wendy Schramm of Deer Park, TX; his daughter, Marilyn Elizabeth Wilkins of Pasadena, TX; grandchildren, Craig Wilkins, Allison McPhail and her husband Eric; his brother Joseph V. Schramm and his wife, Donna; two great grandchildren, Avery McPhail and Vera Wilkins, all of Houston, TX and many loving nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his sons, John Howard Schramm and Christopher Allen Schramm.
A Service in Memorial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church, 4647 Preston Rd, Pasadena, TX.
