ERASMO E. RIVERA
EDNA - Erasmo E. Rivera, of Edna, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the age of 81. He was born November 28, 1931, in Cuero, Texas, to the late Pedro and Anita Rivera.
Erasmo is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Sanchez Rivera; daughters, Susan A. Salazar (Michael), of Houston, Lisa Rivera, of Houston, and Brenda Dominguez (Raymond), of Port Lavaca: sons, Ernest Sertuche (Nelda) of Yorktown, Ernest Rivera (April) of Houston, Larry Rivera (Grace) of Houston, Pete Rivera (Patricia) of Richmond, and George Rivera of Houston; sisters, Catherine Salazar (Mariano), Salena Drisco (Jim), Lillie Critchell, and Lucy Muniz (Manual); brothers, Ben Rivera, Rudy Rivera (Mary Lou), Ismael Rivera, and Santos Rivera (Margie). He is also survived by thirty-one grandchildren and forty great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Friday, February 1, 2013, 5-7 pm, with a rosary to follow at Oaklawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, February 2, 2013, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Edna. Rev. Michael Petering will be officiating. Burial will follow at Latin American Cemetery in Edna.
Pallbearers will be Erasmo's grandchildren.
