WAYNE GREGORY
EDNA - Wayne Gregory, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family Thursday, July 4th, 2013 at the age of 54. Wayne was born September 12, 1958 in Yoakum, Texas to Lonnie And Ruby Castellow Gregory. Wayne endured a very cruel and demeaning motor neuron disease (ALS).
Wayne worked hard all his life to have things and provide for his family. He worked for many farmers in the area - The Cihal's, Kallus's, and Hafernick's. He also worked in the oilfiled industry with StoneWell Service and Joe Ferguson WaterWell Service.
Wayne's true passions were hunting, gardening and tractors, and teaching his children and grandchildren family traditions and values. He took pride in all he did and had, keeping his place in Morales meticulous. His high standards are instilled in all and will be carried on.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Patricia Grewe Gregory of 34 Years. Children, daughter; Courtney Berry (Steven) of Edna; son, Cody Gregory (Desiree) of Victoria, his doting Sister, Debra Speer (Chuck) of Edna, Modelle Foxell (Harry) of Hope, Janice Wyman (Glen) of Victoria, and Brother Bobby Gregory (Dell) of Edna. Grandchildren Jacob, Ty, and Mollie Hastings of Edna, and Colton Wayne Gregory, of Victoria. Wayne also left behind his loyal dachshund Lola who stayed beside him throughout his entire illness.
Preceded in death by parents, sister's Pasty Budd, Hazel Anderson, and brother Carl Klimitchek.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 7, 2013 From 5-7 p.m. at Oaklawn Funeral Home. Services will be Monday, July 8, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Oaklawn Funeral Home in Edna. Burial to Follow at Salem Cemetary in Ezzell, Tx.
Pallbearers will be Cody Gregory, Tim Hadley, J.R. Chase, Ronnie Berry, David Grewe, Darrell Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers are his Caregivers; Mendy Hart, Elaine Hubbell, Derek Speer and Courtney Berry.
He was very loved and will greatly missed.
