LEONA DEPINE FALTYSEK
CONROE - Leona Depine Faltysek, age 82, passed peacefully at her home in Conroe, Tx on July 6th, 2013.
Leona was born July 17th, 1930 in Victoria, Tx where she attended Nazareth Academy and was a long time member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Sr. and Philomena Depine, sister Lucille Richter , son in law Harold Bluda, and grandchildren Michael Bluda, and Morgan Faltysek.
Leona's greatest joys in life were spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, working in her garden with her flowers, taking pictures and working on her photo albums, going to polka music festivals with friends and family, and watching her beloved New York Yankees.
Leona was a dedicated wife and mother for over 35 years when she decided to go to work for Starship Hallmark in the Victoria Mall. She worked there for over ten years and was fortunate to make many lifelong friends.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ernest Faltysek, and their five children: Sharon Bluda of Huntsville; Duane Faltysek and wife Rhonda of College Station; Dennis Faltysek and wife Pamela of Tivoli; Dale Faltysek and wife Pam of Montgomery; Sherry Hardoin and husband Robert of Magnolia. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, sister Louise Prince and brother Louis Depine Jr., both of Victoria.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Gary Sharpless, Dr. James Pickett, Dr. Adam Frome, and all of their employees, Tradition Home Health of Conroe and College Station, and her in home caregivers June Drummond, Dee Spikes, Romeka Constantine, and Flo Johnson.
Pallbearers include Jarred Faltysek, Justin Faltysek, Jordan Faltysek, Jason Faltysek, Mason Faltysek and Tommy Janecek.
Family will recieve friends in the Chapel of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home on Tuesday, July the 9th at 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 109 N. Frazier, Conroe, TX at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July the 10th with burial to follow immediately at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
