THERESA HAHN TRIAL
SAN ANTONIO - Theresa Hahn Trial passed away on July 13, 2013, at home in the presence of her loving family. She was born April 17, 1922, in Hobson, TX, to the late Raymond and Genevieve Hahn. Preceding her in death were her loving husband of 56 years, Hubert Trial, her parents, Raymond Hahn and Genevieve Malik Hahn; two sisters, Margaret Merta and Lillian Kotara and a brother, Eddie Hahn. She is survived by her sister, Gen Gabrysch, five children, Ron Trial and wife E. Jane Smith of Boston, Jaime Trial and wife Tracy, Gary Trial and wife Susie, Melanie Gilbert and husband Bing, and Michele Trial Westerman, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Theresa's life revolved around service to her family and church. She held many volunteer positions, including PTA president, Altar Society President and Scout den mother. Her creativity was evident in many ways. She designed and arranged bouquets at St. John Berchman's Church for many years, sang in church choirs, served as organist at the Oblate Grotto, played many musical instruments and taught her children to play and sing, supported the beginning of her sons' The Countrymen Band. She shared with others through her photography, generously giving plants, cuttings and produce from her garden. Her crafting skills were legend.
Donations can be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hobson, Texas, or to the Leukemia/Lymphoma society.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 16, at 5:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Blanco Road at Ramsey Avenue in San Antonio. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday July 17, at 10:30 AM at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hobson, Texas, with internment to follow in the Hobson Cemetery.
