JEROME J. VIACLOVSKY
EAST BERNARD - Jerome Joseph Viaclovsky passed away on July 26, 2013. Jerome was born on August 9, 1924, the son of Frank Viaclovsky and Agnes Klecka in Wallis, Texas. He graduated from Wallis High School and served in the US Marine Corps from 1943 - 1947, with the rank of TSgt, as an Aircraft Electronics Chief, in the Asiatic Pacific area, Philippine Islands. In 1945, he married Patricia Hlavinka and they enjoyed 45 years of married bliss. He worked for Tennessee Gas for just shy of 40 years as a Shift Foreman. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching his squirrels, and traveling to the Czech Republic while he was still able.
Jerome is survived by his son Ronald (Janice) Viaclovsky of Sugar Land, TX, and his daughter Nancy Kolafa of Houston, TX; grandchildren Heath (Melissa) McClure of Sugar Land, TX, Brent Kolafa of Austin, TX, Sarah Kolafa of Houston, TX, Justin Viaclovsky of Houston, TX and Ryan Viaclovsky of Sugar Land, TX; great granddaughter Lexie McClure; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jerome was preceded in death by his wife Patricia in 1990, as well as his brothers: Theo, John, Charlie and Syl Viaclovsky, and his sisters: Mary Blahuta, Wilma Dusek, Francis Gajewski and Bessie Davenport.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 5:00 PM and Rosary will follow at 7:00 PM, at Holy Cross Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Holy Cross Church, East Bernard, TX, officiated by Father Don Rupert. Pallbearers will be Leon Viaclovsky, Patrick Viaclovsky, Heath McClure, Brent Kolafa, Justin Viaclovksy and Ryan Viaclovsky. Honarary Pallbearers are Sylvester Viaclovsky, James Viaclovsky and Sarah Kolafa.
Memorial contributions can be made to the East Bernard EMS, East Bernard Volunteer Fire Department or Holy Cross Catholic Church.
